09 Sep Telling the truth
If something bad happens
because we tell the truth
it
isn’t
bad.
It may be sooner than we wanted
it may make our suffering a little sharper
for a shorter period of time
It is still good.
(Being hurtful and disguising it as ‘being honest’ respectfully omitted from this theory.)
The past few weeks
I have watched some truly brave humans
Get shut down
Slapped
Ignored
Fired
For the truth.
If it still feels bad, I promise, it is not over.

What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it.” —Henry Miller

But as one who recently spent 3 months unemployed…it might be better to find the new job first. 🙂
